Fees, Payment and Cancellation Policy

 

The fee for each counseling session of 45-60 minutes is $130 without insurance.  The fee for individual consults or supervision is $125.

Some health insurance companies will reimburse clients for my professional services, and some will not.  I utilize a billing company to help with this process.  This company is Headway and will determine your co-pay.  Headway will also collect your co-pay for me through their portal.

 

If financial strains are an issue in affording counseling, please let me know before you cancel a session.  I do provide a sliding scale, but I want to ensure that you are receiving the services that you need.  My sliding scale goes from $75 to $150 a session.

 

Methods of payments that I accept are check, credit card, Venmo and PayPal. Sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment to avoid being charged for the session. If you do not show for an appointment, you will be charged a fee of $50 for the missed session.  You may no show for 2 sessions a year, at which point you will be asked to call to make appointments for 2 months before being allowed to create a recurrent slot again.  4 no shows in a year could result in being referred to another therapist and care ending with Sunflower Meadow Counseling.

 

Health insurance companies often require a diagnosis of your mental health condition before they will agree to reimburse you. When a diagnosis is made during counseling, this diagnosis becomes a part of your permanent record. Various assessments may be used as appropriate during the counseling process, and parental consent will be obtained when applicable and required for assessments.
